About the procedure

Laser hair removal, depending on the size of the area, can take anywhere from five minutes to forty-five minutes. During the treatment, you may experience a slight tingling sensation that most patients tolerate well. Cooling the skin during treatments may help reduce discomfort. What is laser hair removal?

A laser is a specific beam of light that has the ability to permanently disable and reduce unwanted hair by permanently damaging the follicle that produces hair.

How does laser hair removal work?

Laser hair removal technology targets pigment granules in the hair in an effort to inactivate the hair follicle. Laser energy is absorbed by the pigmented hair shaft and transferred to the surrounding follicle. The heat buildup caused by the absorption of energy by the hair itself creates follicular damage can prevent hair productions by that follicle.

What does it feel like?

How many treatments are necessary?

Most people need 5-6 treatments for permanent results.

How is the treatment performed?

During the treatment you will feel a slight tingling sensation as light energy is delivered through a small laser hand piece to a targeted vein in a series of brief pulses.
